5. The House of Monkeys

Dr. Elliott Strange is found dead in his locked office with a massive sword through his back.

The slight issue in identifying the perpetrator is that the room is locked from the inside, the windows barred, and nobody could possibly have escaped without being seen. It can’t have been suicide… surely?

With monkeys aplenty knocking around the house, not to mention the wider Strange family living up to their name, Maddie and Jonathan find themselves in their oddest kerfuffle yet.

And what exactly does a UFO shaped like a goose have to do with all this?

The House of Monkeys was the fifth and final episode of the first series of Jonathan Creek, airing on 7th June 1997.
